Alumni Europae ASBL proudly announces the participation of Lars Patrick Berg in our upcoming Political Debate, a significant event in the lead-up to the European Elections 2024.

Vita:

Lars Patrick Berg (born in 1966) graduated from the Jesuitenkolleg St. Blasien. Following his basic military service, Mr. Berg studied for a master's degree in Eastern and Central European History at the Universities of Tübingen, Heidelberg and Munich, which he successfully completed.

After working in the field of press and public relations as well as sales support, Berg completed a two-year master's degree in international energy economics at the University of Leipzig and Moscow's MGIMO University from 2007 to 2009. He then worked as a press spokesperson for the Sigmaringen district office.

From 2016 to 2019, Berg was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and spokesperson for domestic and police policy.

He has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2019 and is a member of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR). He is a member of the Bündnis Deutschland party.

Political positions:

My name is Lars Patrick Berg, I am running as the lead candidate for Alliance Germany in the European elections because I believe that our party fills a gap in the German party spectrum that has been waiting far too long for representation.

I see myself as a convinced European and believe that an EU based on solidarity, in which nation states retain their independence, is possible.

The EU is currently under threat not only from the nationalists and communists who want to abolish it, but also and above all from the green, red, yellow and black Eurocrats who are trying to undermine the foundations of the European treaties through centralism, growing bureaucracy, more and more bans, a creeping curtailment of our civil liberties and a silent debt union.

I firmly believe that democracy thrives on people working hard and idealistically for a better society.

I therefore advocate an EU that uses its potential: with more direct democracy, close economic cooperation, common security and cultural diversity. For a strong Europe of nations without green ideology.
