Helene von Bismarck was born in Brussels to German parents, and grew up in Russia, Germany and Belgium. After her European Baccalaureat and a sabbatical in Italy, she studied History and Politics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and Humboldt-University in Berlin.
