The Alumni Association joined pupils, parents and staff at the European School Brussels I - Uccle to celebrate its 60th anniversary on Saturday 26 May.

An alumni stand was set up to promote the association and to host Stéphane Millet (an EEB1 alumnus) for his book signing: Avenue des Verts Chasseurs.

Many ex-EEB1 students who got their European Baccalaureates in the 1960s were present but some younger alumni (1980s and 2000s) made appearances too. Visitors to our stand also signed up to our website and liked us on Facebook.

Not only were we mentioned at the opening gala, but we had constructive discussions with the Director of the school, Mrs Ruiz-Esturla and the Secretary General of the European Schools, Mr Marcheggiano, on how best to expand our alumni network across all the European Schools and Accredited European Schools.

Check out some of the photos below taken during the day by Alba Morganti and Guy Janaway. (Nice red trousers, Mr President!)
