Michaël Verbauwhede is a 38-year-old Belgian political figure and media professional. He currently serves as the first substitute for the European Parliament and was previously a member of the Brussels Parliament from 2014 to 2019. Today, he holds the position of coordinator for the digital media outlet Fakto and is also the director of Solidaire magazine.

Verbauwhede specializes in railway systems and has an affiliation with the Workers' Party of Belgium (PTB). He has made a name for himself through his commitment to public transportation and social justice. He resides in Schaerbeek and is the father of two children. Apart from his professional endeavors, he enjoys jogging and is a fan of football.
